The Raptors/Dcatyls FC are proud to announce the recipients of the 2008 Brendan Anderson Memorial Scholarships:
Congratulations to the players above, and good luck to everyone in their first year of college.
The Brendan Anderson Memorial Scholarships have been established in the name of Brendan Anderson, a former Raptor player who lost a courageous battle with cancer in 2003. Brendan had a great love for the game of soccer. It is our hope that with these scholarships, his memory will live on, and inspire our current Raptor and Dactyl players to achieve greatness.
Four $500 scholarships will be awarded this year to two senior college bound Raptor players and two senior college bound Dactyl players. Applicants must meet the following criteria: demonstrated financial need, strong academic background, and a community volunteer history.
Application deadline is April 30th, with the winners announced in June. All applications may be mailed to:
