A Sisters Point of View

Soccer Sisters !
As members of the Dactyls Soccer Club we share a uniqueness. We are not only sisters from birth; we are sisters on the soccer field. We are members of the U-16 and U-13 soccer teams. Together we have had the privilege and honor of representing the Dactyls for many years.
From the very beginning of our Dactyl career, I have bonded not only with my teammates but also with my best friend—my sister. Over the years, Ariel Miller, Taylor Reed, and I have played together on the same Dactyl team, and our sisters Shannon, Abby, and Sierra have also bonded through their team. Having sisters in the same club is unique but especially when all the sisters are really good friends. Even though we might have our ups and downs with our sisters off the soccer field, we can still pull it together when it comes to game time and play our hardest. Our sisters bring out the best in us, and we push them to do their best in everything they do whether it be in soccer or life itself.
Playing soccer has allowed us to grow and become the people we are today. We have been given so many opportunities that have been shared not only with our “birth” sisters, but also our “sisters” on the field. We have made so many new friendships that extend both on and off the field. Even our families are involved and share friendships that had their beginnings through soccer.
By definition, a sister is the girl that will always be there for you. Your sister may or may not be related to you and could just be an amazing friend. She will always love you. Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there. I feel so blessed to have a sister to enjoy this journey with before I start a new chapter in my life.
